You are cordially invited to the Grand Waterloo Ball to celebrate the victory at the Battle of Waterloo and the dawn of a new era of Peace in Europe.

Time: 7pm – 11pm.   Access for changing at 6.30pm.  Carriages 11.30pm.

Dance: Regency dancing including Quadrilles and ball dances of the period

zum Silvesterball mit historischen Tänzen ein.

Er findet am 31. Dezember 2014 ab 19 Uhr im katholischen Jugendheim am Martinsberg in Oberwesel statt.

Wir freuen uns, wenn Sie/Ihr in festlicher Kleidung oder in historischen Kostümen kommen/kommt.

Das Programm besteht überwiegend aus geselligen Mitmachtänzen; die Tanzanleitung liegt bei Uwe Schlottermüller/Freiburg. Es spielen Musiker der Gruppe piedi ne(g)ri.

Joint event with Bedford Gallery Quire

A convivial Christmas party inspired by the writing of Charles Dickens, jointly organised by Bedford Early Dance and Music and Bedford Gallery Quire. It will include a programme of dancing, carol singing and entertainment. Family and friends welcome. Details available later in the autumn.

L’ambition de cette 10e Académie Européenne de la Compagnie Outre Mesure consacrée à l’Art Ménétrier, aux arts ingénieux et aux répertoires de chants, des instruments & des danses des XVe au XVIIIe siècles est d’aboutir à la réalisation d’un bal, de concerts ballés et de mascarades.

Pour y parvenir, vous serez encadrés par une quinzaine d’artistes professionnels spécialisés. Leurs pratiques chorégraphiques, musicales, vocales, instrumentales et de lutheries puisent leurs sources dans les répertoires des époques du haut Moyen-âge, de la Renaissance et du Baroque.

Historisches Tanzfest mit Okzitanis

Ein festlicher Abend mit Tänzen aus Mittelalter und Renaissance für alle Tanzfreunde und interessierte Neulinge.

Zum Tanz spielt das Duo Okzitanis, das auch alle Tänze fachkundig anleitet: Kreis-, Hecken- und Figuren-Tänze, von der Ausgelassenheit dörflicher Feste bis hin zur Pracht höfischer Bälle.

Auch die Gaumenfreuden kommen nicht zu kurz. In den Tanzpausen kredenzt der Wirt ein historisches Mahl.

Our Ball is a costumed event and all ladies and gentlemen dress in the style of the Regency or 18th Century period. The look is known as the Empire line, with a high waist just below the bust, very flattering and feels wonderful to wear. Ideas for costumes can be found on this website CLICK.

Hochzuverehrende Herrschaften und Gäste der Freien Republik Polen

Am 15. November 2014 in Palast in Rydzyna werden wir ein ganz besonderes Ereignis feiern: aus Anlass des 310. Jahrestages der Schlacht bei Poniec, die am 7. November 1704 zwischen der sächsisch-polnischen und der schwedischen Armee geschlagen wurde, findet ein grandioser Hofball statt. Der Ball ist ein Teil der dreitägigen Feierlichkeiten des 310. Jahrestages der Schlacht bei Poniec.

Three days and four nights of classes, workshops, historical balls, feasting and terpsichorean revelry, in the medieval ambience of the Miltenberger Altes Rathaus, with Medieval and Renaissance dance researchers from across Europe, the USA, Canada and Australia convening to share their work. The Winter Ball at Castle d’Ursel is gradually becoming a fine tradition. This year we are welcoming yout again, with flickering candles on the drive, drinks and refreshments in the mirrored room and of course an extensive programme of dances in the hall.

With five musicians playing an accompaniment, three dancing masters will stand ready to guide you in the steps and figures of the dances. In between times you can explore the upper floors of the castle and pose with your party for our house photographer.
