Viennese Dances of the Strauss Era / Wiener Tänze anno Strauss

We would like to invite experienced or simply enthusiastic dancers to our dance week in February. This year we are going to enlarge our repertory by another dance of Karel Link, royal bohemian dancing master and member of the German Acadamy of the art of dancing. His ballroom Quadrille „Redowa“ was published 1881 in Prag and has five parts: Le papillon, Le changement, L’invitation, Les rondes, La Redowa.

Thema Spanische Barocktänze und Kastagnetten (Arte del Danzado, Juan de Esquivel 1642)
Kosten 200/160 Euro (Erm. für Schüler und Studenten)

Kastagnetten können teilweise gestellt werden.
Vorkenntnisse im Kastagnettenspiel sind erwünscht, aber nicht unbedingt erforderlich. (Bei Fragen bitte an Bernd Niedecken wenden: 0761/5 42 42).

G. Lambranzi is using picture puzzles to connect the dance-technical and dramaturgical aspects which play a part by inventing a theatrical dance.
The workshop combines practical an theoretical lessons – with the aim to read Lambranzis pictures as concrete information.
Well known Commedia dell Arte characters like Pulcinella an Skaramutza will be taken as examples for this splendid technique of theatre art.
On the basis of prepared structures every member of the workshop is invited to find an own way of interpretation.

Three weekend workshops in Commedia dell'Arte (one in november 2009, one in march 2010 and one in May, organized jointly by Il Teatro della Memoria and Ondadurto Teatro. Each workshop has a duration of 15 hours for a maximum of 20 students. It's possible to attend only one of the three workshops.

Vintage dance der großen Ballsaison des 19. Jahrhunderts mit dem Tanz der Wiener Opernbälle – der Mitternachtsquadrille „Française“ - und ihren Variationen
Ihre ursprüngliche Wiener Form
Ihre vielfältigen Modifikationen im Ballsaal verschiedener Länder im Trend der Zeit
- Die Schweizer Variante von 1897 (Basel)
- Die Französische Variante im Cancan Stil (Pariser Leben)
- Die Wiener Variante nach Haraschin und heute zum Opernball (Fledermaus-Quadrille)

Mozart komponierte für die drei beliebtesten Tanzformen seiner Zeit ( Menuette, Kontratänze, Deutsche Tänze ) wunderschöne Tanzmusik. Der Schwerpunkt des Seminars liegt bei den Kontratänzen des 18. Jahrhunderts. Sie eignen sich sehr gut zum Vorführen z.B. bei Schulaufführungen und Festen. Verena Brunner ist in der Tanzforschung tätig und Autorin von „Tanzen mit Mozart“ (Fidula 2001). Sie stellt u.a. Tänze vor, die im zweiten Band erscheinen werden.
