La pratique de six heures par jour en danse et en musique historique durant la semaine de stage a pour finalité, à la fois la découverte et la maîtrise de ces disciplines, mais surtout l'élaboration d'une représentation publique réunissant amateurs et professionnels sur scène.

Le spectacle "Allegro Legato" évoquera la rencontre entre l'Art chorégraphique et l'Art culinaire. Le thème d'un banquet festif, dont la mise en bouche se situera au XVème siècle et le dessert au XVIIIème siècle, offrira aux danses historiques leur place d'entremets.

From Friday 5th April to Wednesday 10th April 2019 Chalemie will hold its 21st Summer School in Early Music, Dance, Period Costume Making and Commedia. Leading performers from the group will direct a series of workshops on 17th/18th century music, song, dance, commedia and costume making, with a particular emphasis on the English repertoire of this period.

The course this year will be held once more in the delightful surroundings of Headington School, in beautiful old buildings just a mile from the centre of Oxford and situated in 22 acres of parklands, gardens and woodland.

On the occasion of 100 anniversary of Poland independence Cracovia Danza Ballet prepared the premiere of spectacle Paderewski. The fantasy and the legend, which is a story of Ignacy Jan Paderewski, not only great pianist and composer, but also a statesman, who was an important person in the process of restoring Poland’s independence. The performance, showing life stages of celebrity pianist, is based on unpublished letters from Paderewski to his second wife, Helena Górska. ”Burn this letters Helenka” – he wrote. Luckily, she didn’t.
