Verehrte Mesdames et Messieurs, Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren, Liebe Freunde des Barocktanzes und der Zeit Friedrich II. ! der Potsdamer Rokoko e.V. lädt ein zum Mittsommernachtsball am 22.06.2013 im Rahmen der 3. Internationalen Barocktanztage in Potsdam vom 19. – 24.06.2013 Wir freuen uns darauf, wieder viele Freunde und bekannte Gesichter, aber auch neue Gäste von nah und fern bei uns begrüßen zu können. Seien Sie herzlich willkommen, wir bereiten für Sie ein abwechslungsreiches Programm vor, so dass jeder sein Vergnügen findet.

Après un échauffement-relaxation au sol, nous commencerons cette année d'une façon bien originale : en effet, nous travaillerons des variations autour des chaconnes d'Arlequin (Feuillet, La Montagne, Roussau) et nous chercherons des interprétations selon nos humeurs en puisant dans les personnages de la Commedia del Arte.
Une belle façon de commencer 2013 avec entrain !

Nous vous proposons 2 disciplines, danse renaissance italienne et danse baroque, quatre cours dans la journée pouvant être choisis séparément ou à la suite. Un cours comprendra au total 10 heures d’enseignement.

• Débutant : Je vous propose un parcours dansé sur les formes faisant partie de la suite française (courante, sarabande, bourrée, rigaudon, gigue, menuet, chaconne, passacaille).

Course Content

This five-day course will cover the technique and presentation of Baroque dance and is designed for all levels from the absolute beginner to the professional dancer. No previous dance experience is necessary, although any knowledge of other dance forms will enable you to pick up the steps more easily.

Chess, based on J. Kochanowski's peom, is a ballet and pantomime performance with music of the Polish, Italian and French Renaissance. The poem is presented to the audience through dance, pantomime and the spoken word. The ingenious and humorous text reveals the genuine feelings and emotions of the characters, while the vivid and dynamic plot provides ideal material for a performance based on Renaissance dance and pantomime movement.

This performance transports the viewer into the magical world of the Polish cinema of the interwar period.

‘Ballet about Coffee’to the music of J.S Bach falls within the tradition of ballets with fanciful and exotic subjects staged in the 17th and 18th centuries. Created on the basis of steps and figures of Baroque dance, as well as elements of the pantomime of the day, this humorous performance alludes to the fashion of drinking what was an original beverage at that time.
