A dance evening with a historical theme will take place on 5 November from 7.30 pm at Sýpka in Brno – Medlánky.

Go 200 years back in time and enjoy and interesting evening in gallant society. Try out easy English Country Dances which will be taught by an experienced tutor.
Period clothing is welcome, but not indispensable. There is a whole-day English Country Dance workshop for interested participants preceding the event, 10am-5pm.

On 13-18 August 2013, Chalemie will hold its 15th Summer School in Early Music, Dance, Period Costume Making and Commedia. Leading performers from the group will direct a series of workshops on 17th/18th century music, song, dance, commedia and costume making.

Barbara Segal will take the Baroque Dance course, and Barry Grantham the Commedia course.

The course this year will be held once more in the delightful surroundings of Headington School, in beautiful old buildings just a mile from the centre of Oxford.

Du XVe siècle à la Renaissance, nous connaissons essentiellement la danse de cour. Bien danser, savoir chanter et jouer d’un instrument permettaient de tenir avec grâce et dignité son rang dans la société. La Renaissance en musique et en danse est caractérisée par l’introduction dans le registre courtois de formes et d’éléments populaires. C’est ainsi qu’une part importante est accordée aux rondes, facteur de convivialité et de cohésion sociale.

Nous sommes heureux de vous convier à notre second Bal Renaissance qui aura lieu le samedi 5 novembre 2011 à la salle Pétrarque (Montpellier), dans le magnifique Hôtel de Varennes, construit au XIIIème siècle (2, place Pétrarque, non loin de la Basilique Notre-Dame-des-Tables dans le centre historique de Montpellier.

- La Bourrée Nouvelle (Choreographie: C. Balon, 1714)

und/oder

- La Pavane des Saisons (Choreographie: L.-G. Pécour, Musik: J.-B. Lully, 1700) - hier bietet sich die Möglichkeit zur Wiederholung und Ergänzung des zeitenTANZ-Kurses im September oder zum Hineinschnuppern für "Pavane-Neulinge".

Ein typischer danse de bal, Choreographie: Louis-Guillaume Pécour (hrsg. Feuillet 1700), getanzt zu Musik aus den Airs pour Madame la Dauphine (1685) von Jean-Baptiste Lully.
