Circolo Pisano della Società di Danza organizes anreconstruction of a 19th Cenntury grand Ball in the marvellious historical Villa Agostini della Seta di Corliano, close to Pisa.

Quadrilles, waltz, polka and mazurkas, contredanse and marches, Scottish country dance and aglio.

The ball will take place in the elegant and charming main salon with ancient frescoes of Villa della Seta di Corliano.

The traditional Easter School of the Società di Danza this year will be in Castel San Pietro (Bo).

Program:

- Introduction of some basic Spanish Golden Age dance steps
- Practice of various choreographic variations of Jácara and Spanish Gallarda
- practice and use of castagnettes for our variations

A Historical Ball in carnival season, with an overarching theme of Orientalism.

Bien danser, savoir chanter et jouer d’un instrument permettaient de tenir avec grâce et dignité son rang dans la société.
