Early Baroque

Historical Dance Theatre "A l'entrada" for the second time invites you to see a dance interlude in Ukrainian Baroque style "Fatalia Blazenska" ("Tricky Fate").

Come and experience an atmosphere of a XVII century tale! Beautiful music, dances, costumes and lyrics will help you to feel yourself a few hundreds years back.

We are waiting for you on 11 December at 6 PM at "Ivan Honchar Museum" (29 Mazepa Str., Kyiv, Ukraine).

Each weekend costs a total of € 450,00 divided by the participants. There is a minimum of 8 participants (which would mean 56€ per person. If there are more than 8 participants, the cost of the course is less).

Au programme : the game of the Hunt of Love--la Caccia d’Amore, and the virtuosic dances from Santucci’s Mastro da ballo : « Pavaniglia », « Galleria d’amore », « Allegrezza d’amore », variations de la Gagliarda.

Barbara is a dance historian specialized in 15th-17th century Italian dance. She is interested in going beyond the of "court dance« "the first ballet » and in placing early dance inits socio-economic and political contexts.

In her teaching of Italian dance she will put the accent on style, music and interpretation.

Beautiful Madeleine, her daughter Isabelle and her pastry-cook Monique have come to town. How will old Pantalone and his handsome son, Claudio, cope with the newcomers? And how can all the hungry Zanni resist Monique's delicious cakes? An evening of Commedia, dance and music, with Timedance Hansa, directed by Jane Gingell.
