Tänze des 19. Jahrhunderts bis Anfang 20. Jahrhundert zum 100-jährungen Bäder-Jubileum der Stadt Bad Homburg - nach originalen Quellen

This is a practical course in 15th century Italian dance, and is intended for those who are already acquainted with this period of dancing. The emphasis will be on style and presentation. The course is organised by Norwich Early Dance Group in collaboration with the Capriol Society. The tutor will be Véronique Daniels who has specialised in the Renaissance period of dance and music , principally Italian and French.

An Introduction to Magri

In this course, taught by Jane Gingell, we'll be exploring social dance styles from Magri's Trattato of 1779, including contradanza, minuet, and step sequences from his version of Aimable Vainqueur, "Amabile".
The course level is general, but students will need to have at least a little experience of baroque dance, or other dance style with arm movements (ballet, flameco etc).

The course runs from Friday evening to 16.00 on Sunday.
