Der im Kurs erlernte Tanz “L’Asturienne / par Mr. Dezais”, eine Art Rigaudon, ist ein “danse de bal” für einen Herrn und eine Dame. Leider ist nicht überliefert, wer der Komponist ist und aus welchem musikalischen Werk der Tanz herkommt. Da es keine Einspielung zur Notenleiste gibt, soll das genau unser kleines Experiment werden: wir wählen verschiedene Musiken im Rigaudon-Charakter aus und sehen einmal, wie sich der Charakter vom Ausdruck der Bewegung im Kontext zur Musik variieren lässt.

An 6. November 2011 um 18h entführt das Ensemble Celeste Sirene gemeinsam mit den Tänzern Antje Lükemann und Niels Badenhop die Zuschauer zurück an den Hof des Sonnenkönigs. Das Programm "Marais en Suite" bietet nicht nur Kammermusik des großen Gambenvirtuosen Marin Marais, sondern auch Vokalmusik seines Zeitgenossen Monteclair. Dazu zeigen die Barocktänzer Choreoraphien der Zeit in prachtvollen Kostümen dieser großen Epoche französischer Kultur.

A dance evening with a historical theme will take place on 5 November from 7.30 pm at Sýpka in Brno – Medlánky.

Go 200 years back in time and enjoy and interesting evening in gallant society. Try out easy English Country Dances which will be taught by an experienced tutor.
Period clothing is welcome, but not indispensable. There is a whole-day English Country Dance workshop for interested participants preceding the event, 10am-5pm.
