The central work of this course, on which all the singers, instrumentalists and dancers cooperate, is this year's opera-ballet Les Indes galantes ("The urbane Indians"), the first of a series of ballet operas in 1735 by French composer Jean-Philippe Rameau to a libretto by Louis Fuzelier. By 1730 there was a fad for operas in the form of ballet operas based on mythological themes. In Rameau's Les Indes galantes he returns to that form, but he gives the roles more contemporary, modern characters, just as Campra did in L'Europe galante (1697).

Learn the dances of the Baroque period with musicians, actors and more! Break the barrier of tedium and discover a portal to the 18th century.
Take this one class or the whole series of classes and learn the dance forms used by Bach and Mozart in their dance suites.
This class is open to professional dancers, teachers, students, musicians, singers, actors and dance enthusiasts, ages 13 and up.

Note d’intention

Depuis la découverte du répertoire des chorégraphies authentiques du 18ème siècle, les critères musicaux, chorégraphiques ou techniques ont dicté le choix de déchiffrer et remonter telle ou telle danse.

Im Schloss Paretz dem sommerlichen Lieblingsaufenthalt von Königin Luise, findet am 19. Mai 2012 ab 19 Uhr der 2.Ball mit Tänzen aus der Zeit von Königin Luise und Jane Austen statt. Am Nachmittag findet ebenfalls ein Workshop mit Tänzen des frühen 19. Jahrhundert`s statt.

Country Dances entstanden im 16. Jahrhundert in England und haben sich seither ständig fortentwickelt. Sie sind seit ihrer Entstehung fast ununterbrochen getanzt worden und sind heute Teil des englischen Volkstanzes. Im Country Dance Club wollen wir mit einem Schwerpunkt auf historische Country Dances diese Tradition fortführen. Im Vordergrund steht die Geselligkeit und der Spaß an der Bewegung.

Tänzerische Vorkenntnisse und paarweise Anmeldung sind nicht erforderlich.

Bitte mitbringen: leichte Schuhe (möglichst ohne Absätze) und bequeme Kleidung.

Danse baroque

For one weekend, the 14th century Rathaus of Miltenberg, shall play host to a school of dance, known in the tongue of more refined courts as an academia della danza. In addition to learning dances from the courts of the Gonzaga, Valois, Lancasters and Tudors, there shall be a feast, as well as terpsichorean revels and a ball as no one has seen in many years. Come one and all to partake!

Atelier de danse Baroque, le vendredi 27 janvier de 19h à 22h à Micadanses, 15, rue Geoffroy l'Asnier 75004 Paris, studio So Schnell.

L'atelier commence par un temps de relaxation au sol, afin de rendre le corps et l'esprit disponibles à l'apprentissage de la Belle Dance et de ses codes.
Thème du jour : La Bourrée d'Achille, partition chorégraphique composite avec une bourrée bien sûr et un menuet.
Outre le travail de la qualité des pas, des appuis et de la musicalité, nous essayerons de mettre en évidence une interprétation subtile à chacun de ces deux caractères de danses.

Dieser Tanzkurs findet im Rahmen der 12. Etappe für Alte Musik und Historischen Tanz auf BURG FÜRSTENECK statt mit dem Generalthema: "Alla Turca" – Fremdländische Einflüsse in der Alten Musik und im Historischen Tanz. Der Canario und der Moriskentanz, beide um 1600 überliefert, spiegeln am ehesten die "Lust am Exotischen" der ausgehenden Renaissance. Es wird an diesem Wochenende viel improvisiert werden! Anregungen dazu holen wir uns bei Arbeau, Negri, Caroso und Santucci. Detaillierte Ausschreibung siehe Anhang.
