Nein, natürlich nicht die Teaparty! Die ist ja schon über zwanzig Jahre her. Inzwischen trinken wir den Tee wieder anstatt ihn in den Hafen zu kippen. Und wenn uns ein paar Engländer dabei die Ehre geben, soll’s uns nur recht sein.

Der Kurs möchte anhand der Sarabande die grundlegende höfische Tanztechnik des späten 17. und frühen 18. Jh. vermitteln.
Durch eingehende Übungen der Basisschrittsequenzen wie pas grave, coupé, pas de bourrée etc zusammen mit den jeweils dazu passenden port de bras werden wir die Tanztechnik des Barocks entdecken.
Der Tanzkurs eignet sich sowohl für Interessierte ohne große Erfahrung im Barocktanz,
wie auch für fortgeschrittenere Tänzer/innen

FESTIVAL FÜR BALLETT UND BAROCKTANZ

Die Tanztage finden seit 2007 jährlich Ende August in Bad Ischl statt, wobei der musikalische Schwerpunkt auf ‚Alter Musik’, der tänzerische auf neoklassischem Ballett und Barocktanz liegt.

Who can come? This workshop is of interest to professional dancers and teachers, vintage dancers and enthusiastic dance students as well as musicians, choreographers, stage directors and actors who wish to study early ballet and social dances from the Baroque period through the 20th century.

For 2011 DHDS is introducing the concept of multi-period summer schools, with 3 classes on offer: Cecília's baroque ballroom dance, Jørgen's overview of baroque ballroom dance and Anne's focus on the social dance of Austen's time.
All classes are intermediate, i.e. for dancers with some experience. If you are unsure which class to join or whether a class is for you, please contact the Summer School Administrator.

Stockholm Baroque Dancers welcomes you to at seminar on Baroque Dance at Drottningholms Slottsteater August 13 at 1:30-3:00 p.m. It will be a discussion about how we create and recreate Baroque dance, the stance we take in relation to sources, and what Baroque dance means to us today.

Tickets are to be pre-booked through dst@dtm.se, and picked up att the Theatre Shop at Drottningholm. Admission 90 kr, free with performance ticket to Les Petits Riens and Don Juan and for students.
