Would you like to explore graceful social dance from the bygone era of the great medieval and Renaissance courts? Have no real experience, or wish to review fundamental footwork and techniques (and possibly learn new versions of dances)? Then join my four-part workshop series and walk away with a fundamental grasp of both the basics and several dances. We shall be covering several dances over this series, possibly to include:  anello for two (a completely new Contessa creation in the proper style), petits vriens, and danse de cleves.

Seit 1980 widmet sich der Verein "Danza Antica" dem historischen Gesellschaftstanz in allen seinen Facetten - vom Quattrocento bis zum Ende des Ancien Régime.

In Zusammenarbeit mit der Volkshochschule Zürich bieten wir jährlich 2 x 5 Tanzabende auf verschiedenen Niveaus an: Beginners - Intermediate - Advanced (Advanced nur für Mitglieder von Danza Antica oder geübte Tänzerinnen und Tänzer). Einen besonderen Höhepunkt bildet jeweils die Organisation und Durchführung des Zürcher Barockballs - seit 2005 alle zwei Jahre.

Das Ensemble Augsburger Geschlechtertanz e.V. setzt sich aus Tänzern und Tänzerinnen unterschiedlichsten Alters aus dem Raum Augsburg zusammen.

Im Zentrum steht die Freude am historischen Tanz und der Erhalt eines Stückes Augsburger Kulturgeschichte: Jeder Tänzer und jede Tänzerin repräsentiert ein festgelegtes Mitglied des Augsburger Patriziats zu Beginn des 16. Jahrhunderts.

Da meist ein bestimmtes Ehepaar eines Augsburger Patriziergeschlechts dargestellt wird, trainieren und treten wir in festen Paaren auf.
