„Der Tanz enthält alles, was zu einer schönen Sprache notwendig ist“, schrieb ein bekannter Tanzmeister aus dem 18. Jahrhundert. Damit meinte er nicht nur das Alphabet der Schritte, sondern auch den Rhythmus der Sätze und den Ausdruck der verschiedenen Tänze. Die vornehme Gesellschaft an den Höfen Europas redete gerne, und widmete sich auch der Tanzsprache voller Hingabe. Große und kleine Feste waren ohne Tanz nicht denkbar. In diesem Kurs werden die barocken Basisschritte erarbeitet und in einfachen Tänzen zu einem ausdrucksreichen Ganzen verbunden.
