4 Jahre Stadt-Land-Fest - Jetzt ist es eine Tradition!

2010 haben wir Stadt-Land-Fest das erste mal veranstaltet und hatten so viel Freude daran, dass es zu einer jährlichen Veranstaltung geworden ist. Seither – an jedem ersten Samstag im Oktober – schwingen wir gemeinsam das Tanzbein.

Unter anderem wird geboten:

•zwei Mittelalter-Tanz Workshops (einer für Anfänger, einer für erfahrenere Tänzer)

Der Stern und die Lilie, die Wappensymbole der Farnese und Aldobrandini führen uns mitten hinein in das Rom des 16. Jahrhunderts mit seinen Intrigen und Machtkämpfen, päpstli­chem Pomp und glanzvollen Festen. Lange rivalisierten die beiden mächtigsten Familien der Ewigen Stadt um die Herr­schaft am Tiber. Ein Symbol der Versöhnung sollte nun die Heirat von Don Ranuccio Farnese, dem vierten Herzog von Parma und Piacenza, mit der blutjungen Margherita Aldo­brandina sein, der Großnichte von Papst Clemens VIII.

Workshop im Rahmen der 4. Internatioalen Barocktanztage in Potsdam

„Dieser Tanz ist vorzüglich geeignet eine ganze Gesellschaft gleichzeitig zu unterhalten“, schrieb 1756 der Leipziger Tanzmeister Charles Pauli über die Contredanses anglaises. Ein junger Salzburger Hofrath und Freund der Mozarts notierte 1775 in sein Tagebuch: „Wir tanzten 3 Contredanses und 1 neuer Quadrille, es ware sehr lustig.“

3:00 pm - 5:30 pm The class begins with a lively warm-up and moves on to steps and patterns designed for the abilities of Barbara's students. English Country Dances with baroque steps are included and opportunities are offered to move on to a more advanced level as you learn. Renaissance dance is taught in the morning.
