Travel: Close to Putney Bridge Station on the London Underground District Line and with other good transport connections.

In the mid nineteenth century, new quadrilles were choreographed all over Europe. The enormous number of new dances shows the popularity of these four-couple dances. The dancing masters tried to find new and surprising ways of making the dancers move in a square.

7pm – 11pm

Come and celebrate 50 years of historical dance with a masquerade ball Regency style. Bring the spirit of the Venetian Carnival to Newark with
fantastic costumes and masks: prizes for the most inventive! An elegant cold buffet supper will be served in the interval. Cash bar.

Man stelle sich Venedig um 1700 während der Zeit des Karnevals vor: Die Paläste sind von Tausenden von Kerzen hell erleuchtet, es findet ein Ball nach dem anderen statt, die Strassen sind voll von Maskenumzügen und auf den Plätzen haben wandernde Theatergruppen ihre Bühnen aufgeschlagen, um ihr Publikum mit Spiel und Tanz zu unterhalten.
