The traditional Easter School of the Società di Danza this year will be in Tabiano (Pr), in the Parmesan hills.

In a beautiful environment, we will have the opportunity to spend a few days of communuty life, and to study more in depth theoretical and practical aspects of 19 century dance.

Program: social dance of 19th century tradition.

A 19th Century Grand Ball in the beautiful, historic Stefania Palace in Budapest.

Dress code: Crinolin or bustle dress for ladies, tails or military uniform for gentlemen

Price: 110 Euros per person, to include two dance masters, live music by the Pannonia quartet, three course dinner, unlimited drink consumption, dancing until midnight.

Saturday November 26 is the date!

To celebrate 20 years of 19th century dances here in Rome, under the expert guidance of Maestro Paolo Di Segni, we will welcome you at the Auditorium delle Fornaci, just off St. Peter’s square.

The musicians of the Orchestra del Teatro della Memoria will accompany our steps, with their usual flair and good humor: the  Maestri, we know from experience, are quite ready  to join us on the dance floor!

On Saturday 26 November we are welcoming you again, with flickering candles on the drive, drinks and refreshments in the mirrored room and of course an extensive programme of dances in the hal.

Just like our last edition of the castle festivities in June, we will return to 1830. Four musicians will be playing an accompaniment on pianoforte, violin, flageolet and cornet à pistons and dancing master Lieven Baert will stand ready to guide you in the steps and figures of some waltzes, quadrilles, allemandes and mazurka's.

Una reflexión desde las perspectivas académica y artística. Desde  la transversalidad en que se integran investigación coreológica y conocimiento corpóreo para la elaboración de una aproximación muy provocativa hacia el Baile Bolero, constitutivo de la imagen coreutica de España en el panorama internacional desde finales del siglo XVIII, con figuras tan emblemáticas como María Medina, hasta el Bolero postromántico, a través de las fuentes coreográficas y  musicales, iconografía y hemerografía.

Desmontando leyendas ágrafas sin refrendo documental: ¡Bye, Mr. Boliche!

Con motivo de la restauración de Les Danses de Valencia, y más concretamente de la "Xáquera Vella" por el Grup de Balls Populars Les Folies de Carcaixent en un trabajo interdisciplinar entre coreología histórica, etnocoreología y etnomusicología, en esta conferencia se abordará el proceso de restauración a traves de las fuentes españolas de danza de los siglos XVII al XIX comparadas con el entorno coreutico social internacional, y sus relaciones con la ciudad de Valencia.
