The topic of the class is to show how the elements of the allemande couple dance were incorporated in country dances. There are many fine and entertaining examples in the collection of dances from the Danish court in the late 18th century: all longways dances, and for variation in addition some German cotillions also with allemande elements, dances from the court at Dresden by Bigatti from the manuscripts now in Krakow, etc.
Das Ensemble La Danza München präsentiert die hohe Kunst des Barocktanzes in all seinen Facetten – sei es als Danse de Bal, Danse demi caractère, Danse sérieux oder Danse grotesque. Vorlage für den ersten Teil des Programms ist das Libretto „Carnaval de Venise“ (Renard 1699) aus den „Fêtes Venitiennes“, und aus den wichtigsten Szenen entsteht ein pantomimisches Ballett mit einer hinreißenden Mischung aus französischer Noblesse einerseits und der Leichtigkeit und dem Temperament einer Italianità andererseits.

The Course will take place over the weekend of 1st and 2nd October 2022. Saturday 1st : An introduction to Folía and its variations, which has its own style and step vocabulary, catering also for those with less experience of the period. Sunday 2nd : Aiming at more experienced dancers, focus will be on Folies d’Espagne, as performed in the French Court.

En ella se estudia y se profudiza analíticamente sobre la Danza Histórica del renacimiento y del barroco, con especial interés en la Danza Española del Siglo de Oro y de la danza en el entorno de la Opera y Ballets del Siglo XVIII en España y en Francia. Prestando especial interés en las transversalidades (música, indumentaria, notación coreográfica, puesta en escena)

Aus dem 18. Jahrhundert haben wir einige erhaltene Tänze, die hessischen Prinzen und Prinzessinnen gewidmet sind, einen Bezug zur hessischen Geschichte haben oder als Quellen heute in hessischen Bibliotheken verwahrt werden. Bei diesen Tänzen handelt es sich nicht um hessische Folklore- oder Nationaltänze, sondern um normale Gesellschaftstänze, wie sie überall in Europa getanzt wurden.
