The ball, a universal social phenomenon, whether at princely courts, civic festivities or private celebrations, has many new facets across the centuries.

Fifteenth-Century Italian Dance Course (22nd edition), directed by Chieko Ono (see the flyer attached)

Bereits seit 2007 findet jährlich ein großer Renaissanceball statt, zu dem vor allem, aber nicht nur, Mitglieder des internationalen Mittelaltervereins SCA kommen, um gemeinsam zu lernen und zu tanzen. Das "Kingdom of Drachenwald" ist der europäische Ableger der SCA. Bereits 2017 fand diese Veranstaltung, zu der Gäste aus aller Welt anreisen, in Loosdorf im Raum Linz im schönen Osterreich statt - und soll es 2020 wieder tun.

In diesem Kurs steht die Canarye dancèe par Mlle. Provost et Mlle. Guiot au triomphe de l'amour auf dem Programm, eine Choreographie für zwei im 6/8 Takt aus Mr. Gaudrau - Novueau Recueil de Dance de Bal et cette de Ballet ... de la composition de Mr. Pecour.

Dieser Workshop richtet sich an Fortgeschrittene im Stile des Belle Danse.

Danza Vosolvia und Lieven Baert laden zu einem besonderen Herbstkurs nach Oberwesel: wir werden zu der wunderschönen Canzonetta "Damigella tutta bella" von 1607 eine Choreographie lernen. Die Musik von Monteverdi ist voller Tanzimpulse und lädt förmlich dazu ein. Das Schrittmaterial von Caroso, Negri und Santucci sollte man gut kennen.
