We would like to invite you to one of the greatest dancing events of the year in Moscow – the annual Festival of Historical Dance. It will take place from 20 to 27 August 2017.
It is going to be a fascinating week full of dance classes, dance evenings and the magnificent Grand Ball in one of the historic buildings in the centre of Moscow. 

Most of the classes will be conducted by Arnaud Degioanni, the head of the famous “Carnet de Bals” Historical Dance Association and the main teacher of the Festival. 

The tutors of Accademia Amsterdam invite lovers of baroque dance to an exciting summer course dedicated to baroque chamber music and dance. Particular attention is paid to the overall interpretation of the early baroque period up to classicism. Dance classes are given by tutor Ricardo Barros and involve tecniques, warming up and style.

Wir tanzen von 11.30 bis 16 Uhr . Kostenbeitrag EUR 8 für den Saal. Wir tanzen vor allem Tänze aus dem Gresley Manuskript (England, ca. 1490), den Inns of Court (England, ca 1600), dem Italien den 15. Jahrhundert (Domenico) und vermischtes aus vor-1650. Program

For all: Study of the basic Spanish Golden Age dance steps and comparison with the Italian and French dance steps from the 16th to the 18thcentury, its similitudes and differences.

1517 veröffentlichte Martin Luther seine 95 Thesen, die auf religiösem wie auch politischem Gebiet immense Auswirkungen haben sollten. Just im selben Jahr schrieb Johannes Cochläus am 9. März einen Brief von Bologna nach Nürnberg, in dem er acht Tänze übermittelte. Der Brief ging an die Töchter des gelehrten Humanisten Willibald Pirckheimer, die von ihren drei Cousins, die zum Studium in Bologna weilten, die neuesten Tänze erfahren wollten. Cochläus war der Tutor dieser drei jungen Herren, der wohl über die Ernsthaftigkeit ihres Studiums zu wachen hatte.
