THE SPANISH SPIRIT:
a Hartig Ensemble Summer School in picturesque Cesky Krumlov.

Jane Gingell and Konrad Przybycien teach Spanish Escuela Bolera Dance, and Helena Kazarova and members of the Hartig Ensemble teach Renaissance and Baroque dances in the Spanish Style.

The course takes place in the Study Centre of the Cesky Krumlov Castle complex, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

It begins on the Sunday evening with social dancing, followed by six-hour teaching days from the Monday to the Saturday.

The course will cater for all levels, with parallel classes.

Der Verein freydanz gründete sich 2007 aus den Renaissancetanzkursen der Universität Leipzig. Inzwischen engagieren sich 31 Mitglieder - vom Lehrling bis zum Unternehmer - als Musiker, Tänzer und Sänger. Regelmäßig tritt die Gruppe auf Mittelalterfesten wie der Lutherhochzeit in Wittenberg auf. Sie organisiert aber auch Bälle und veranstaltet zweimal im Jahr Tanzabende. In Leipzig werden offene Treffs, Kurse und Workshops angeboten.

Am Vorabend zu „stillen Zeit“ durfte traditionell noch einmal tüchtig gegessen, getanzt und gefeiert werden. Diese Tradition des „Kathreintanzes“ pflegen wir am 25. November 2022. Wir laden Sie herzlich zu unserem Tanzabend ein. Unsere Tanzmeister erklären die Tänze, Rund- und Gassentänze von der Renaissance bis in die Zeit von Jane Austen. Danach tanzen wir sie gemeinsam zur Live-Musik unserer Musikgruppen und unserer Gäste von „Wild Violett“. Für das leibliche Wohl ist durch unser Imbissbuffet gesorgt. Über gewandete Gäste freuen wir uns natürlich sehr.

The 18th Cracovia Danza Court Dance Festival will take place in Krakow between July 30th and August 6th. Held under the In the Far East title, this year’s edition will concentrate on Asia.
