Die Landesregierung plant aus finanziellen Gründen, die Ausbildung in den Bereichen Orchester und Schulmusik in Mannheim und Trossingen abzuschaffen, was faktisch auf eine Schliessung der Hochschulen hinausläuft.

I just got the sad news, that Barbara Sparti the "Grand dame" of the early dance has died on Monday, 17 June 2013 in Rome.
For the very beginning of my engagement in early dance in 1993, I always heard her name in many contexts. She was a teacher and a researcher. I always enjoyed receiving her kind mails with the Urbino announcements. And her presentations at the Rothenfels Dance Symposiums in 2008 and 2012, where she gave lectures about her newest research results regarding the Santucci manuscript.

“Baroque Music from Ballet and Opera”
Dances, vocal & instrumental music
by Accademia Amsterdam
Perugia (Italy) July 22 – 26, 2013
for enthusiast amateurs and college of music students: dancers, singers, strings, winds, harpsichord/basso continuo
Accademia Amsterdam is inspired by an Italian institution flourishing in the 17th and 18th centuries, where people gathered to make music and discuss wide-ranging subjects. Accademia Amsterdam follows this tradition in as much as the musicians work together to reach a clear interpretation of the music. The main aim of playing concerts is to give pleasure to the audience. This is achieved through the “Speaking Style”, which has its roots in Rhetoric.

The Wrocław Masque Project presents a fully staged production of the Stuart Court Entertainment, Lord Hay’s Masque, as part of the Wrocław "Maj z Muzyką Dawną" Festival.
Dance, drama, music and poetry combine to honour the wedding of court favourite Lord Hay and his bride Honoria. Flora, goddess of flowers, presents Nymphs, Sylvans and Satyrs in celebration of the marriage, while the goddess of Night frees the leafy Greenmen from their trees as they regain their human form and return in triumph to dance at court.
