Renaissance

A programme of dances from original sources which celebrate the rulers, castles and culture of the northern Italian courts 1450–1500. No previous knowledge of fifteenth centry dances is needed, but some dance experience would be beneficial.

Each afternoon starts with a lively medley of typical dances suitable for beginners, then features a dance of Spanish origin practised in all the courts of Italy, France and England: Spagnoletta (September), Spanish Pavan (October) and canario (November).

Tänze zu besonders schöner Musik des 16./17. Jh., von ruhig bis beschwingt, von einfach bis nobel, aber stets natürlich bewegt.

Eine vergnügliche Reise durch die Tanzgeschichte:

Branles, Allemande, Pavane, Lilli Burlero, Drive the cold winter away (ab CD u. live).

Keine Vorkenntnisse nötig. Die Tänze sind eher leicht.

Alle sind willkommen, mit oder ohne histor. Gewand.

Blokfluitist Jacqueline Dubach en tenor Christopher Kale van ensemble Fortuna zijn specialisten in de uitvoering van muziek uit middeleeuwen en renaissance. Hun passie voor dit vroege repertoire is meer dan aanstekelijk – alle reden om een weekendcursus te geven!

We spelen en zingen in kleine en grote bezetting, in homogene en heterogene ensembles, waarbij cursisten zoveel mogelijk worden ingedeeld in ensembles van gelijk niveau.

On July 28, 2013 we organize a special performance, dedicated to memory of Barbara Sparti. The event will be a commencement of the fourteenth 'Cracovia Danza' Court Dance Festival. The show will present choreographies created and developed by Barbara Sparti, both for the 'Cracovia Danza' Court Ballet and for the 'Cracovia Danza' Court Dance Festival.

A multimedia projection, devoted to her person, will be displayed during the performance.
