Die Cascarda ist ein wenig aufdringlicher Tanz mit einem eher intimen, spielerischen und koketten Charakter. Dieser Tanz passt in kleinere Umgebungen. Es ist eher ein Tanz fürs Zimmer als für große Säle.

Der Ursprung der Cascarda ist ein bisschen unklar und sie erscheint grundlegend in Fabritio Caroso’s Il Ballarino und in Nobilta die Dame.

Vielleicht ist dieser Tanz eine Erfindung von ihm?
