L’Ensemble Donaïres est l'héritier de la Compagnie Ana Yepes dont il prolonge le projet artistique depuis janvier 2010. Il emprunte son nom à l'un des spectacles phare de la compagnie, et a choisi la ville d’Evreux pour s’y installer et y développer son activité, autour du travail déjà initié par Ana Yepes au CRD de la ville d’Evreux où elle enseigne la danse historique. Donaïres [donaïrès] est un mot espagnol signifiant : “discrétion et grâce en ce que l’on dit”, “gaillardise dans le maniement du corps”, ou encore “facétie et grâce pour attirer la volonté de ceux qui écoutent”.
